Cartel conduct is criminalised by Article 254 of the Federal Criminal Code.
The offence
It is an offence to enter, order or execute any contract or arrangement between competitors for one or more of the following purposes:
- price fixing;
- restriction of output;
- allocation of markets; or
- big rigging.
Exchanging information with the purpose or effect of fixing prices is not a criminal offence.

Individuals
Between three and ten years’ imprisonment.
Corporations
Cartel conduct is not criminalised.
